About PKY

Project Koa Yoga is an LLC birthed in 2021 by two friends who believed yoga + wellness should be accessible to everyone in Hawai’i.

We center Kānaka Maoli, BIPOC, and QTIA2Smāhū+ folx because we believe our liberation is bound.

Mission

Our mission is to diversify the faces of yoga in Hawai'i while preserving the people, land, and culture that are Hawai'i.

Vision

A generative yoga and wellness community in Hawai’i that creates a more well, just, and equitable hui. Shining a light on our interdependence, abundance, and liberation. A thriving & well Hawai’i.

Values

8 Dimensions of Wellness

There is a demand for trauma-informed wellness in Hawai'i that centers Kānaka ‘Ōiwi ancestral wisdom, culture, and issues. We want to create a way to empower Hawaiian people and people in Hawai'i with practices for healing and wellness.

BIPOC + LGBTQIA2SMāhū+ centered

Creating spaces intentionally designed to be accessible for everyone with a focus on BIPOC+ LGBTQIA2SMāhū+ and those amplifying BIPOC+ LGBTQIA2SMāhū+ stories, teachings, and voices.

Co-creating wellness spaces through yoga and meditation that are diverse and accessible to marginalized folx.

Aloha + Pono

Creating pilina, sharing kūpuna wisdom, creating a revolution, and healing together.

+

Diversifying yoga + wellness spaces in Hawai’i to share and care for our ‘ohana and world.

Social Justice Issues in Hawai’i

We want to make yoga more accessible, trauma-informed, and center the social injustices facing Kānaka ‘Ōiwi and marginalized communities of Hawai'i.

Our liberation is bound.
